Wedding Menu Ideas and Wording

How to lay out a wedding menu, how to word courses and choices, and how to handle dietary requirements without cluttering the card.

Structure

Head the card with your names and the date, then list courses in order: starter, main, dessert, then tea and coffee.

One short dish name with a one-line description underneath reads far better than a paragraph.

Wording choices

When guests pre-selected: print each dish plainly, no 'or'.

When choosing on the night: separate options with a small 'or' on its own line so the card does not look crowded.

Keep supplier language out. 'Roast hake, brown butter, sea vegetables' beats a full ingredient list.

Dietary requirements

A single line at the foot of the menu — 'Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available; please speak to your server' — is cleaner than tagging every dish.

Menus come with the Complete and Everything suites.
